Meelis Pakri | July 27-31, 2026 | FREE Boys Workshop (Ages 10+)

Osipova Ballet Academy is proud to invite boys to a FREE Boys Workshop led by Meelis Pakri, internationally acclaimed Principal Dancer, distinguished ballet educator, and graduate of the prestigious Vaganova Ballet Academy.

Meelis Pakri was born in Tallinn, Estonia, and graduated from the Vaganova Ballet Academy in St. Petersburg, Russia. He danced as a Principal Dancer with Estonian National Ballet from 1981-1991, and then as a Principal Dancer with Colorado Ballet from 1991-2001, performing leading roles from the classical and contemporary repertoire.

In addition to that, Mr. Pakri was a guest artist with Macedonian National Theatre Ballet, Martha Graham Dance Company and International Ballet Festival in Havana, Cuba.

During these years, Pakri danced lead roles in all the major classical ballets, as well as in neoclassical and modern repertoire by masters such as G. Balanchine and M. Graham.

At the age 22, Pakri began his teaching career when he started teaching men's technique and partnering classes at the Tallinn State Ballet School. From 2001-2006, Mr. Pakri served as a Ballet Master for Colorado Ballet, working closely with both company dancers and academy students. Between 2006-2013, he was a faculty member of The Royal Ballet Upper School in London. Mr. Pakri has also worked as a guest teacher for The Royal Ballet Company, San Francisco Ballet and Estonian National Ballet.

He has taught master classes internationally throughout the United States, Europe and Asia, including Japan, Denmark, Italy, and Hungary. Mr. Pakri has been on the Jury of Japan Grand Prix and continues to judge at several competitions including Youth America Grand Prix, California Dance Classics, National Ballet Competition and Washington DC Grand Prix.

His students have won numerous awards at Youth America Grand Prix, at Young British Dancer Of The Year competition, as well as at The Prix de Lausanne. Mr. Pakri is currently a full-time faculty member of The Harid Conservatory in Boca Raton, Florida.

Today, he is celebrated as an influential ballet educator, having worked with The Royal Ballet, San Francisco Ballet, Houston Ballet, and dancers worldwide. His artistry, expertise, and dedication continue to inspire the next generation of performers.

Workshop Details

Mr. Pakri’s workshop is designed to develop strength, coordination, athleticism, musicality, and classical ballet technique in a motivating and supportive environment. This workshop is for boys ages 10+.
