“We absolutely love our experience at OBA. My 5yr old daughter spent the first half of the year at a prominent ballet school in Sunnyvale but we were less than satisfied with it. I did a lot of research to find a school that was more serious, as my daughter was taking it more seriously than I expected. I was a little apprehensive to choose a newer school but I am SO GLAD we did!

I am so impressed that there is so much value placed on flexibility and strength training. Ballet is beautiful but difficult. OBA puts an emphasis on making sure the children are strong and flexible so that they don’t get hurt later down the line when they begin to learn more complex work. They focus on proper technique from the get-go.

The teacher for the younger classes is fantastic. She is sweet so the children are comfortable with her, but authoritative enough for them to respect her. The children really pay attention in class and then love to talk with her after class! The classes are taught in Russian and English. My daughter does not speak Russian but it has not held her back in the slightest. The teacher is also happy to talk with any of the parents after class to let them know how their child is doing and what they can work on at home. She’s very communicative and we appreciate it.

The improvement we saw with my daughter in just the first month was astonishing. Not only is her dancing better but her flexibility has increased, she’s stronger in her core, and her posture outside of class has improved significantly. Ballet is her favorite part of the week and we know that she is in wonderful hands.”

Osipova Ballet Foundation was founded as a non-profit community service organization, whose main goal is to provide access to the highest form of classical ballet in the Vaganova Method to our wide & diverse community, to bring together all members of our community through the unique art of form classical ballet by providing numerous engagement & performance opportunities for our students as well as the community beyond. We are focused on inspiring all community members no matter the differences we all posses, as we believe that the art of ballet has no boundaries. Through this intricate art, we strive to make a bigger difference in the world.
